I had been searching for a new herdsire for a bit as it was time to add some new genetics. I had focused in on a few herds and decided the Better Wayz herd was on my shortlist – they have gorgeous, productive goats with width and butterfat that I was hoping for. Of course, you all know I also love Springwater dairy goats… this guy came up at, well maybe not the best time, but I decided to jump anyway. I really love his sweet personality and ease of handling and he’s pretty easy on the eyes, too. I saved him some dates and he got to work within 24 hours of being here. His dam is the impressive Springwater BF Jane Doe (pictured below) and sire is Better Wayz Rhythm (son of Better Wayz Harmony Carabear – all time high butterfat record holder). I’m very excited to see what “Little Bear” (he is on the small side) contributes to the herd!
